Marry G

This loco was first seen at Bentley in early 2013 and is a classic member of the Roger Marsh design "Romulus" family built in the same workshops as Taurus but only finished more recently. During the year it was named Marry G (yes, the second R is deliberate - it's pronounced "Mary G") and can often be seen running on Sundays.

Nadder is unusual in that it has an open cab and is usually coupled to its driving truck which is fashioned like a slate wagon. This locomotive has also been adapted to accommodate the owner's restricted mobility.

The Romulus design by Roger Marsh is probably the most popular design of loco running on many 7 1/4 inch gauge railways and here at Bentley this is also true. 'ROMULUS' has a large 6-wheeled tender and had a major overhaul some years ago now but is otherwise faithful to the original design. Sadly Romulus is currently out of service.

Taurus is built to the Roger Marsh "Romulus" design and was first seen running at Bentley almost 20 years ago. The loco has operated with an array of different tenders during this time and 2011 saw it return to service once again, it has since been an occasional visitor at Bentley.
