70000 Britannia (Britannia)
This 4-6-2 loco is amazingly powerful, and maintained in fine condition now in the care of it's second owner in the Club. It is now run only occasionally, but there is never a problem finding qualified members who volunteer to try a hand at driving it.

Cindy (Bridget)
Based on the popular "Bridget" design, his 0-4-2 side tank loco was a new addition for 2005 and despite it's small size we hope to see it regularly pulling a number of passengers or a rake of wagons on the quieter running days such as Saturdays.

Holmside (Holmside)
Holmside was a 0-6-0 saddle tank locomotive with outside cylinders and inside Stephenson link motion that used to work for the National Coal Board. Built in 1901 by Chapman and Furneaux and worked all its life Between Craghead and Morrison Busty Collieries, Anfield Plain, Durham, until scrapped in 1962. The full size engine was glossy black with red lining. The one eighth 71/4 gauge model is painted maroon and was completed and first steamed for its boiler certificate in 2008. Merlin Ambrosius (Fairlie)
During August 2001 and 2003 we were visited by this Single-Fairlie 0-4-4, this steam loco is unusual in that the working mechanisms are all located on a movable bogie under the loco, this makes for a very powerful, but also very smooth running loco. This loco has also proven that it can run equally well in either direction - as shown in the photographs. This loco is currently undergoing an overhaul, but is hoped to be seen at Bentley again

Quarry Hunslet (Hunslet)
This 0-4-0 loco is based on a Welsh slate quarry loco, and is of the same basic design as Jasmine and Elaine. It used to be a regular steamer on Saturdays, but is now rarely seen at Bentley.

Quarry Hunslet Golly Gosh (Hunslet)
This 5 inch gauge steam loco is seen occasionally throughout the year, most commonly during August. Despite being a relatively small loco it often runs for several hours at a time.

Romulus (2) (Romulus)
'ROMULUS' (2) is unusual in that it has an open cab and usually coupled to its driving truck fashioned like a slate wagon. This is rarely seen running at Bentley due to it's owners other committments

'TAURUS' is built to the Roger Marsh Romulus design and has been running at Bentley for the last ten years, and has operated with a number of different tenders over that time.

Toby (Manning Wardle)
A 1/3 scale model of a Manning-Wardle 0-4-0 Saddle Tank, complete with slate wagon for a driving truck, has become a regular visitor from Suffolk for busy weekends. Recently it appeared on a special weekend when it ran with other narrow-gauge locos at Bentley. The picture shows the line-up at the loco turntable, with 'Toby' on the right, alongside 'Romulus', 'William II' and 'Taurus', all being prepared for steaming.

William I (Sweet William)
Sweet William loco's are an enlarged version of the 'Sweet Pea' design commonly seen in 5' gauge models. 'WILLIAM I' has a square-topped saddle tank.
