Merlin Ambrosius (Fairlie)
During August 2001 and 2003 we were visited by this Single-Fairlie 0-4-4, this steam loco is unusual in that the working mechanisms are all located on a movable bogie under the loco, this makes for a very powerful, but also very smooth running loco. This loco has also proven that it can run equally well in either direction - as shown in the photographs. This loco is currently undergoing an overhaul, but is hoped to be seen at Bentley again
