Bentley Miniature Railway in the grounds of Bentley Wildfowl and Motor Museum

25 Years of Bentley Miniature Railway

Come and join us at Bentley Miniature Railway in celebrating our Silver Jubilee over the 5th and 6th of June.

The railway celebrates 25 Years of operation in 2010, having been formally opened on June 2nd 1985, by comedian Ken Goodwin.

The railway has recently been granted Planning permission for an extension to a new station adjacent to the wildfowl park, subject to preliminary conditions. This extension will double the length of line, from 1/2 mile to 1 mile.

These events will be celebrated during early June 2010; Bentley Miniature Railway will be in operation, as usual, from Saturday 29 May to Sunday 6 June 2010, during the local school Half Term week. On Saturday and Sunday 5 - 6 June, special events, including a model railway show, historic vehicles and a cavalcade of locomotives on the Railway are planned. Negotiations are ongoing with the expectation of having a celebrity to formally launch the work on the Extension (subject to confirmation of Planning).

Further information will be announced as available. A selection of the attractions attending are below:
